Our values are best summed up in six key words:

  • BIBLE

The primary place where we hear the voice of Jesus is the Bible, the inspired Word of God. As this is applied to us by the Spirit of God, God speaks powerfully.

    (MATTHEW 24:35; JOHN 14:23-26; 2 TIMOTHY 3:16; HEBREWS 4:12)

  • CHANGE

Growth brings the cost of change. We are ready for that, believing that God calls us to constant repentance and risk-taking, courageous faith.

    (MARK 1:15; LUKE 9:23; ACTS 2:38; REVELATION 3:19-20)

  • COMMUNITY

We believe that a healthy Christian community displays and experiences God’s love by meeting weekly in small groups (Cells) and as a larger congregation

    (MARK 3:14, 9:2, 14:33; ACTS 2:46; HEBREWS 3:13, 10:24-25)

  • GIFTS

Each member of the church has gifts which give them great dignity and great responsibility to use for the service of others.

    (ROMANS 12:1-8; 1 CORINTHIANS 12:12-30, 14:1-19; 1 PETER 4:8- 11)

  • RESCUE

God has been amazingly generous to us in our need. Because of that, our words and deeds will reach out to those who have yet to be rescued by Christ.

    (LUKE 24:45-49; ACTS 1:8; ROMANS 10:9-15; 1 CORINTHIANS 10:31-11:1)

  • DISCIPLES

All Jesus’ people are full-time followers (disciples) who make new followers. Jesus didn’t leave the job to church leaders or specialists.

    (MATTHEW 28:18-20; ROMANS 15:14; EPHESIANS 4:15, 29; COLOSSIANS 3:16)

This vision and these values lead us to commend the following structures for growth for the whole church family: that Christians grow best and most fruitfully:

  • a - day by day, encountering God as individuals,
  • b - in the Sunday congregation and
  • c - in small midweek cells.
